We have just returned from the furniture show in High Point, NC:
High Point Furniture Market:
- - Phil and Chris saw nearly 30 companies.
- - One of FD’s most popular vendor, Coaster has its own building with 5 floors of furniture.
Another popular vendor, Klaussner (customize furniture vendor) has 95k sq/ft of space and still
could not fit all of their furniture.
- - They saw higher end vendors like Aico/ Amini. The people from Aico said they are going to make a
great effort to help build its business with TNFD.
- - The most impressive vendor by far was Catnapper. They had new technology with sofas playing music,
and even had a feature that allows a person to chill their beverage with the click of a button.
Holiday Specials:
- - Coming soon… the week of Nov 7th, around the mid to the end of the week.
- - Example (so far)- Fairmont Designs (FDS) 10% off on their entire line up, and TN Mattress 5-10% off.

A great book about having fun and how leaders can exceed expectations is “Rock Solid Leadership” by Robin Crow.
Here’s a few quotes:
Ronald Reagan – Even after the assassination attempt on his life, he used humor to put the nation at ease. It was reported that when he first saw Nancy at the hospital, he looked up with a smile and said , “Honey, I forgot to duck!” Also, as the doctors approached the operating table, he looked at one of his Cabinet members who was at his side and said with a smile…”I hope he’s a Republican.”
We should never forget the power of humor and humility when it comes to effective leadership.
John J. McCloy – “Humility leads to strength and not to weakness. It is the highest form of self-respect to admit mistakes and to make amends for them.”
Margot Fonteyn – “The one important thing I have learned over the years is the difference between taking one’s work seriously and taking one’s self seriously. The first is imperative and the second is disastrous.”
